Overview
Portlets are modular components that are managed and displayed in a web portal. For general information regarding Web Portlets, see Wikipedia's entry.
The current CVRG portlets have been developed to provide a single point of access to a number of the tools available for use by the CVRG community. The portlets available include:
Welcome Portlet
A welcome message to introduce users to the CVRG Portal and guide them to the Beta Signup, for access to the Portal and the ability to test/provide feedback on CVRG tools.
Beta Signup Portlet
An information form meant to allow individuals/groups with interest in the CVRG to contact the CVRG Management Team, providing contact information and an explanation of their interest. This is meant to provide the CVRG with an ability to add individuals/groups to the infrastructure in a more guided manner, as the Portal and tools become more refined before their introduction to the entire CVRG community.
Physionet/Berger Portlet
An alpha release of the CVRG ECG Storage/Analysis portal. The current functionality is focused on ECG data and analysis using data and software from both the Reynolds Test Bed Project and Physionet. The portal provides access to data services for storing data from both groups. The portal also provides access to analytical services for both data types and returns results to the display. These results can then be extracted from the portlet and saved to the local computer, for further viewing & analysis within spreadsheet programs (e.g. Microsoft Excel).
Imaging Portlet
An instruction portlet to inform users on how to connect to virtualPACS, for access to anonymized DICOM Imaging data stored within the CVRG.
ProteinDB Portlet
An information portlet on ProteinDB and access to its interface.
LDDMM Portlet
An information portlet on the CVRG LDDMM Portal and access to its interface.
